Text Box: Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good [things], Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, Your God reigns!
(Scriptures are NKJV)

These exciting words were said by the prophet over 2,500 years ago, and today we declare them to you, Zion. Your God reigns! Your God is about to fulfill His promises to Israel, His one and only chosen people, and we want to tell you that we believe! Now is your time! Do not give up on your God, for this is the time, and you are the people and generation who will see His promises!

In the ending of Isaiah 51 through beginning of Isaiah chapter 52 God declares:

22 Thus says your Lord, The LORD and your God, [Who] pleads the cause of His people: See, I have taken out of your hand The cup of trembling, The dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it. 23 But I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, Who have said to you, 'Lie down, that we may walk over you.' And you have laid your body like the ground, And as the street, for those who walk over. Isaiah 51:22-23
Awake, Awake! Put on your strength O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the Holy city: for from now on there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and unclean. Shake yourself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose yourself from the bands on your neck, O captive daughter of Zion. For this says the LORD, You have sold yourselves for nothing; and you will be redeemed without money. Isaiah 52:1-3

This is the fulfillment of numerous promises that The Lord would show His love and faithfulness to his people in the last days. Lift up your eyes, Israel, for the LORD is the one who does this, and in Him alone is your future Hope:

Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Hosea 1:7, 10 Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, Will save them by the LORD their God, And will not save them by bow, Nor by sword or battle, By horses or horsemen. ... 10 Yet the number of the children of Israel Shall be as the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them, You are not My people, There it shall be said to them, You are sons of the living God.
This is because God made a covenant with Israel to give the land to His people forever, and defend it against intruders as long as they trusted in the Lord and not in man.

Genesis 17:8 - Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
Ezekiel 36:2 Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the enemy has said of you, Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession,
Ezekiel 36:5 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Surely I have spoken in My burning jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom, who gave My land to themselves as a possession, with wholehearted joy and spiteful minds, in order to plunder its open country.
Ezekiel 36:7 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I have raised My hand in an oath that surely the nations that are around you shall bear their own shame.
2 Chronicles 20:7 - [Are] You not our God, [who] drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?
2 Chronicles 20:15 - And he said, Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle [is] not yours, but God's.
2 Chronicles 20:17 - You will not [need] to fight in this [battle]. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD [is] with you.
2 Chronicles 20:20-21 - So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper. (21) - And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: Praise the LORD, For His mercy [endures] forever.
2 Chronicles 20:24 - So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there [were] their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped.

Although Israel would not always trust in the Lord, He had a divine purpose in His holy people. The Lord spoke by his prophets, telling the whole history of what would happen to His beloved people:

Deuteronomy 18:15-16, 18-19 The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, 16 according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die. ... 18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.
Deuteronomy 28:64-66 Then the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known--wood and stone. 65 And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place; but there the LORD will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul. 66 Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life.
Hosea 3:4-5 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim. 5 Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.

God would send the Messiah, the Son of David to be Israelís King, and although God would scatter His people and remove the place of sacrifice, He promised that AFTER they return to Israel, they would seek the Lord and their Messiah in the latter days.
Isaiah 49:13-16 Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted. 14 But Zion said, The LORD has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me. 15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. 16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
Isaiah 11:11-12 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. 12 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.
Jeremiah 31:35-36 Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar (The LORD of hosts is His name): 36 If those ordinances depart From before Me, says the LORD, Then the seed of Israel shall also cease From being a nation before Me forever.
But Ezekiel chapters 38-39 tell of a war in the last days when surrounding nations and a nation from the north will come against Israel, unlike any historical war, and God will fight for Israel against insurmountable odds.

Ezekiel 38:16, 18 You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes. ... 18 And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, says the Lord GOD, that My fury will show in My face.
Ezekiel 39:4 You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
Ezekiel 39:25 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name--
Ezekiel 39:27-29 When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them out of their enemiesí lands, and I am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations, 28 then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer. 29 And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, says the Lord GOD.
But God also promised that He would make a New Covenant with Israel.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah-- 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD, for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.
Isaiah 12:1-2 And in that day you will say: O LORD, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.
How does God become our salvation? What is this salvation? What does it have to do with sin?

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.
Leviticus 16:30, 34 For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the LORD. ... 34 This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel, for all their sins, once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.
Psalms 89:48 What man can live and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the power of the grave? Selah
Psalms 49:7-9 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give to God a ransom for him-- 8 For the redemption of their souls is costly, And it shall cease forever-- 9 That he should continue to live eternally, And not see the Pit.
How can a soul be saved from death? This idea of salvation goes back to the Lordís institution of the Kinsman Redeemer:
Leviticus 25:47-49 Now if a sojourner or stranger close to you becomes rich, and one of your brethren who dwells by him becomes poor, and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner close to you, or to a member of the strangerís family, 48 after he is sold he may be redeemed again. One of his brothers may redeem him; 49 or his uncle or his uncleís son may redeem him; or anyone who is near of kin to him in his family may redeem him; or if he is able he may redeem himself.
Isaiah 52:3 For thus says the LORD: You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you shall be redeemed without money.
Psalms 49:15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, For He shall receive me. Selah
Isaiah 59:20 The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, Says the LORD.
Zechariah 9:11-12 As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. 12 Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.
Psalms 50:5 Gather My saints together to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.
Isaiah 42:6 I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles.
Zechariah 13:7 Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion, Says the LORD of hosts. . .
Exodus 12:5, 6, 27 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take [it] from the sheep or from the goats. 6 Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight. ... 27 you shall say, It [is] the Passover sacrifice of the LORD, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households. So the people bowed their heads and worshiped.
Hosea 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from My eyes.
Psalms 30:3 O LORD, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Exodus 15:2 The LORD [is] my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He [is] my God, and I will praise Him; My father he is my God, and I will exalt Him.
Isaiah 12:1-3 And in that day you will say: O LORD, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation. 3 Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation.
Psalms 118:19-28 Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, And I will praise the LORD. 20 This is the gate of the LORD, Through which the righteous shall enter. 21 I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation. 22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. 23 This was the LORD s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. 25 Save now, I pray, O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity. 26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! We have blessed you from the house of the LORD. 27 God is the LORD, And He has given us light; Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. 28 You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You.
Psalms 40:2-8 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth--Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD. 4 Blessed is that man who makes the LORD his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. 5 Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered. 6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. 7 Then I said, Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. 8 I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.
